Now is the time to take your first step toward a career in health science! Nearly 60% of the current health workforce is comprised of allied health professionals, who are neither physicians nor nurses but hold expertise in select types of diagnostics, medical technology, therapy and patient care. With choices offered in HCC’s Allied health courses, you can begin a career in the medical field with as little as 15 hours of certification!
Allied Health courses included Certified Nurse Aide (CNA), Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-Advanced and EMT-Basic), and Home Health Aide. At the completion of each course, a State certification test is offered.
Note: Financial Aid is not available for Certified Medication Aide. Financial Aid may not be available for CNA and EMT courses. If you are taking these courses as part of an eligible degree-seeking program, then you may complete the appeal form Financial Aid Request for Ineligible Classes.
