1. Apply for Admission: Start by completing an online application for admission.

Placement Testing: Testing is essential for determining your eligibility for math and English courses as well as a technical program. You can schedule a placement exam in Highland or at any of our regional sites. For more information, contact us or use the link below to arrange a placement exam.Alternatively, you may also use ACT or SAT scores, as well as your high school GPA and GED scores for placement.
Technical students enrolling in a program will need to take the WorkKeys Applied Math and WorkPlace Documents tests. WorkKeys testing may be completed at the Technical Center in Atchison, the Western Center in Baileyville and the Wamego Center.
3. Location: Depending on your preferred campus, here's what to do next:
Highland Campus: Complete the online enrollment appointment form by clicking the button below.
Wamego, Technical Center (Atchison), and Western Center (Baileyville): After you've submitted your online application, you'll receive an email with enrollment information. Contact your chosen site for further enrollment details.
Online: After you've submitted your online application and it has been processed, you'll receive an email with enrollment information. If you need assistance in choosing classes, contact the HCC Online office at 785-442-6170 or hcconline@highlandcc.edu for advising.
Early College: Click the link below for information about Early College Enrollment.
4. Transcripts: Send your high school and college transcripts to the admission office. An unofficial transcript can be used for course placement. Contact your advisor for additional information.
Regional Centers and Online Students: It is recommended that you meet with your regional or online Student Services Representative before enrolling in classes. Following this meeting, you can log in to your MyHCC account to complete your enrollment.
*For financial aid to be considered complete, ensure you have done the following: submit your FAFSA application, provided all verification documents (if requested), signed and returned your award letter, completed entrance counseling and signed a master promissory note for all loan borrowers.
