Highland Community College Technical Center’s (HCCTC) Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) graduation was Friday, August 11, 2022 at Culbertson Auditorium on the campus of Highland Community College.
Anna Fowler, HCCTC Director of Nursing, said, “It is always a little bittersweet to see these students grow and progress toward graduation which marks the end of our student/instructor relationships. We are sad to see them go, but are so excited for them to go out into the work place and continue to grow as nurses.”
After the lighting of the lamps, the 28 graduates and nurses in the audience recited the Nightingale Pledge that was written in 1935 by Lystra E. Gretter. Brocklyn Kelley, 2022 ADN graduate, addressed the class encouraging them to “never consider themselves finished nurses as we must be learning all of our lives,” a quote from Florence Nightingale.
