The 2015 Highland Community College men’s Track and Field team was honored for the fourth consecutive year by the National Junior College Track and Field Coaches Association as a recipient of the Academic Team of the Year award. The award is a seasonal award calculating the team’s grade point average (GPA) during the season of competition. The Highland men had the seventh highest team seasonal GPA.
Members of Coach Chad Clevenger’s team who were awarded by the Coaches Association as Academic All-NJCAA were Chris Essman (Topeka), Conner Bigham (Hiawatha), Chance Morrow (Holton), Trenton Smith (Silver Lake), and Kyle Lansing (Leavenworth), all posting GPA’s over 3.6.
