Members of Coach Tom Bond’s women’s track team at Highland Community College earned recognition from the NJCAA as the top team academically in the nation for 2015. The team GPA counts all members of the team. Those track team members who also earned special recognition included Briley Ware (Dexter) and Alisha Simonin (Wathena) who earned NJCAA Superior Academic Achievement with a 3.80-4.00 grade point average, and Thaina Dos Santos Jensen (Topeka) and Kassiday Blevins (Highland) who earned NJCAA Exemplary Academic Achievement with their 3.6-3.79 GPA’s.
