Welding Technology (1 yr)

Student working on a welding project. Looking for a rewarding and high paying career? Look no further! Join the Welding Technology program at Highland Community College Technical Center.

Students in this program learn all arc welding processes while working with carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum. Students in the Welding Technology program spend over 80% of their time in the welding shop. Along with the hands-on experience, you will have the opportunity to train on a Virtual Reality welding simulator. The simulator is used in conjunction with the "live shop" and is a fun and easy way to help perfect your welding skills.

At the end of each semester, students will take an American Welding Society (AWS) qualification test.
